Information Technology Postgraduate Scholarship

Sir John Monash Fee Scholarship

Hello scholarship seekers, there are several scholarships currently open at Monash University of 2026, including:

A scholarship for continuing students studying a postgraduate degree in Information Technology. You will receive $6000 per annum paid towards your course fees.

Am I eligible ?

You must be one of the following:

• An Australian citizen
• A New Zealand citizen
• Australian permanent resident
• Australian humanitarian visa holder

Additional requirements:

A full fee paying graduate (coursework) student in the Faculty of Information Technology at Clayton Campus, and

Minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80

Continuing students must have completed a minimum of 18 but no more than 24 credit points of study (excluding advanced standing)

Benefits:

$6,000 for full-time study load (48 credit points) paid towards tuition fees per year until the minimum points for your degree are completed.

Number offered:

Varies (Depending on funding)

Selection criteria:

Award based on academic achievement.

To retain this scholarship:

You must maintain a minimum of a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 each semester.

How to apply:

No application is required. All eligible students will be automatically assessed.

This scholarship can be deferred.

Receiving a scholarship has been my motivation to study harder. It has also given me more confidence in my studies, and pushed me to achieve higher grades which is important for my career goals. The financial support it provides has allowed me to take part in extracurricular activities such as the Monash Minds Leadership program, instead of having to find a part-time job.

Engineering International High Achievers Scholarship

Sir John Monash Fee Scholarship

The Engineering International High Achievers Scholarship is introduced to recognise high achieving international students.

Am I eligible?

You must be one of the following:

An International student

You must be studying as one of the following:

Undergraduate - A commencing student enrolling in a single undergraduate degree offered by the Faculty of Engineering.

Students must have an ATAR or International equivalent of 95+.

Postgraduate - A commencing student enrolling in a postgraduate degree offered by the Faculty of Engineering.

Students must have achieved a minimum WAM of 75 in their undergraduate degree.

Benefits:

Undergraduate - $15,000 per 48 credit points, paid towards your tuition fees, up to four years.

Postgraduate - $15,000 per 48 credit points, paid towards your tuition fees.

Number offered

Undergraduate - 25 scholarships will be offered per year.

Postgraduate - 25 scholarships will be offered per year.

Selection criteria:

Awarded to the highest achieving commencing students

To retain this scholarship:

Recipients must maintain a minimum of Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70.

How to apply:

This scholarship cannot be deferred.

No application is required. All students will be automatically assessed.

Coming from a single-income family, receiving a higher achiever scholarship has significantly eased the financial strain of starting university, especially as an international student. This support not only reduces the need for a part-time job but also allows me to pursue my hobbies with more freedom. I am incredibly fortunate and grateful for the opportunity provided by Monash University.

Hello scholarship seekers, there are several scholarships currently open at Monash University for semester 1 of 2026, including:

All offers are subject to scholarship terms and conditions and require you to meet eligibility criteria and enrol in a relevant course at a Monash University campus in Australia.

Achieving Potential Indigenous Support Scholarship

Am I eligible?

You must be one of the following:

• An Australian citizen

You must meet the following criteria :

• Commencing a new undergraduate or graduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia*.

• Are an Indigenous Australian**

• *Includes Diploma of Tertiary Studies, Diploma of Higher Education and Monash Transition Program.

• **To be eligible you must provide a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate or a certified Statutory Declaration form to the William Cooper Institute. This can be emailed to wci-ss@monash.edu. If you have any queries please contact the William Cooper Institute on 9902 4972.

Benefits :

$6500 per annum (48 credit points of study) for the minimum number of credit points required to complete your degree. (From 2024).

Number offered

Guaranteed to all eligible students.

Selection criteria :

Awarded to all Indigenous Australian coursework students.

To retain this scholarship:

• You must engage with the William Cooper Institute (WCI) at the commencement of your studies and sign up to WCI's Indigenous Academic Enhancement Program at the beginning of each semester of study.

• This scholarship can be held with any other scholarship (From 2023).

How to apply :

• No application is required. You are guaranteed this scholarship if you are Indigenous Australian and intending to study an undergraduate or graduate (coursework) degree at Monash.

• This scholarship can be deferred.

The Achieving Potential Indigenous Support Scholarship has allowed me to focus on my studies without worrying about taking on more work or making educational sacrifices.
This scholarship has also strengthened my connection to the William Cooper Institute, which has almost become a second home. The other students are lovely, and the staff are super supportive and helpful.
